About Map View on Echo Show

With Alexa+, you can access Map View on your compatible Echo Show devices. Map View lets you see your smart home devices at a glance and control your Alexa home easier than ever.

Map View helps you create a floor plan of your home and arrange your smart home devices based on their real-world location. You can then manage and control your devices by interacting with them from Map View.

You can access Map View on these supported Echo Show devices:

  • Echo Show 15 devices
  • Echo Show 21

Before you get started, you need to setup Map View on your compatible iOS device. For instructions on how to setup Map View, go to How to Set Up Map View.

After you create a floor plan with Map View, you can:

  • Filter by device type.
  • Switch floors.
  • Set a default view. For more information go to, How to Setup Default Orientation for Map View on Echo Show.
  • Control your devices:
    • Single tap: Opens the side panel with device information and control options.
    • Double tap: Quickly turns the devices on or off.

You can view your Map View floor plan on your Echo Show's smart home dashboard or through the smart home widget. For information on how to add widget to your device, go to Add Widgets on Your Echo Device with a Screen.

Note: To setup, edit, and move devices on Map View, you need to use your compatible iOS devices.
