What Is Map View?
Map View provides a simple way to view, manage, and control your compatible smart home devices using the Alexa app. Map View with Alexa+ also lets you open and control your devices using compatible Echo Show devices.
Map View helps you create a floor plan of your home and arrange your smart home devices based on their real-world location. You can then manage and control your devices by interacting with them from Map View.
Map View uses your phone’s camera and its sensors to scan each room and converts the layout into a floor plan.

Important things to know:
- You can open your floor plan on any iPhone or iPad. However, you must use the same account as the device that you used to create it.
- You can delete your floor plan at any time.
- With Alexa+, you can view your floor plan on any compatible Echo Show device. To learn more, go to About Map View on Echo Show.
