Editing Tips for Your Floor Plan

If you're having problems with your floor plan in Map View, try these troubleshooting tips.

If your room looks inaccurate, try rescanning it. For simple modifications, use the editing options.
For rooms that aren’t in the right place, use the edit options and move the rooms to the right location.
Furniture and staircases don’t impact Map View functionality. You can’t edit furniture or staircase placement. To fix any inaccuracies with your furniture or staircase placement, rescan your room.
If door placement is inaccurate, you can add or remove doors with the editing options.
When you split a room vertically or horizontally, it adds a virtual wall. You can’t add doors to these walls.
- Split rooms are permanent. The only way to remove a split is to rescan the room again.
To resize a room, use the edit options and select the room that you want to resize. If you can't resize the room, detach the room from the rest of your floor plan, then resize the room.
You can only edit your floor plan on compatible iOS devices, but you can still view your floor plan on any iOS device.
- You can’t access Map View on incompatible iOS devices until first creating a floor plan with a compatible iOS device.
