How to Obtain Amazon Transaction Records After Identity Theft

Victims of identity theft, or law enforcement agencies on their behalf, may be entitled to certain records under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"). For more information, please read this FCRA document.

Victims of Identity Theft

If you are a victim of identity theft, you may request, at no charge, copies of records relating to fraudulent transactions that may have occurred at Amazon.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. If you have an Amazon account, you can access certain information through Your Account (https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/homepage.html) , where you can see Your Orders (https://www.amazon.com/gp/your-account/order-history?) , Your Addresses (https://www.amazon.com/a/addresses?) , and Your Payments (https://www.amazon.com/cpe/yourpayments/wallet?) .
  2. To access additional information relating to your Amazon account you can make a request through our Request Your Data portal (https://www.amazon.com/hz/privacy-central/data-requests/preview.html) . There, you can request information like Your Orders, Your Addresses, Payment Options, or even Request All Your Data. You'll need to sign into the account for which you're submitting your request.   3. If you don't have an Amazon account, can't access your Amazon account, or need further records, you may submit your request in writing to the following address:

    Please include: (A) a copy of your government ID, such as a driver's license; (B) a copy of a police report concerning the identity theft or a government-issued Identity Theft Report available at https://www.identitytheft.gov/ ; (C) details about the fraudulent transaction (for example, a transaction ID from your statements) and the information you seek; and (D) a preferred way for us to contact you (for example, an email address).
