Set Up Modes

Use the Alexa app to set up modes.

The Alexa app provides default mode recommended actions based on the devices that you connected to Alexa. You can customize these actions according to your preferences. To setup modes:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More .
  3. Select Settings .
  4. Select Modes .
  5. Follow the guided setup instructions for modes.

Note: If you have multiple security devices (security systems or locks) associated with your modes, set up an Alexa-specific access code for each device. In the Alexa app, go to the device's Settings page and select Access Code for access code setup.

Once you've set up home and away modes, you can add or edit actions and triggers to existing modes:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select Modes or on the top right of the home screen.
  3. In the pop-up, select Settings .
  4. Find the mode that you want and select Edit.
