Switching Between Home and Away Modes
Use the Alexa app, voice commands, or your device to switch between modes.
- "I'm leaving" or "We're heading out" to switch to away mode.
- "I'm home" or "We're back" to switch to home mode.
Note: Voice commands don't switch modes if you're already using them as a response for a Routine. To allow these voice commands to switch modes, change your Routine's prompt to a different voice command.
In the Alexa app, switch modes by selecting Modes 
or 
on the top right of the home screen.
On Echo Hub, switch modes by selecting Modes or on the top right of the home screen.
