What Are Modes?
Control your smart home devices all at once when you leave or return home, when it's nighttime and when you go on vacation.
With modes, assign smart home or other Alexa actions you want to occur. Like Routines, modes let you save time by grouping together multiple actions. Switch modes manually with Alexa or on your Alexa-enabled device.
As you switch between modes, Alexa performs actions that correspond to each mode. For example, switching to away mode may look like this:
- Arm security system
- Lock front and back doors
- Close blinds
- Turn on Away Lighting indoors
- Turn on patio lights
