Sharing your Amazon Photos Storage Allowance with Amazon Family

You can share your Amazon Photos storage allowance with up to 5 other family members.

Prime members can share their unlimited photo storage benefit and video allowance, while all Amazon customers can share their storage subscription allowances.

To share your benefits and allowances in the Amazon Photos mobile app:

  1. Select the Profile icon in the top right of the screen.
  2. Select Invite next to Family Plan or Manage family if you’ve already invited family members.

    Selecting Invite opens the Amazon Retail app on your device, or the mobile website if the app isn’t installed on your device.

  3. In the Members tab of the Your Amazon Family page, select New.

  4. Choose whether you’re adding an Adult or Teen account and follow the steps to add the account to your Amazon Household.
  5. If adding an Amazon member’s account, they’ll need to sign in to accept the invitation. Non-members need to create an Amazon account.

    You can manage your pending and accepted invites from the Family Plan page as well as check the storage usage for each member of your Family Plan.

To share your benefits and allowances in Amazon Photos for web:

  1. Select Family Plan in the left menu.
  2. Select Go to Amazon Family.
  3. On the Amazon Family page, select New and follow the options to add your family member.

Photos and videos uploaded by members of a family group are private and can only be accessed by the person who uploaded them.

Any additional storage plans you purchase stack on top of your Prime benefits, and storage plans purchased by any member of the family is grouped and shared by all family members.
