Replace a Damaged, Defective, or Broken Item
Visit Your Orders and we will let you know what your options are for damaged, defective, or broken items.
Replace an item
To replace an item:
- Go to Your Orders and select Return or replace items beside the item you want to replace.
Check of the In Stock or Out of Stock indicator next to the product.
- Select the item that you want to replace and select a reason for return. Add any details in the free-text box.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
We'll create a replacement order, with the same shipping speed as the original item. To avoid being charged for the replacement, return your original item by the specified 'Return By Date'. The replacement order may be shipped only after you return the original item(s) back to Amazon.
Depending on stock availability, the delivery date displayed for the replacement item in Your Orders may vary.
Return without replacement options and gift returns
If no replacement is available or your received the item as a gift, you'll need to return it and place a new order. To return an item, visit Return Items You Ordered. To send back a gift, visit Gift Returns.
Submit product photos for returns review
We may ask you to share pictures of the damaged item. Make sure that the damage is clearly displayed in the image. For more details, go to Add Photos for Product Returns.
Return hazardous items
If returning a defective hazardous item, follow the steps in the Online Returns Center..
