How to Check Battery Information on Tablet
On your tablet, you can find information about your battery’s status by following these steps:
- Open Settings on your Tablet.
- Select Battery.
- Select Battery Information.
- Under Battery Information, see the following details:
- Manufacturer date of the battery.
- Date of first use of the battery (after initial device setup).
- Number of full charge/discharge cycles.
- Measured state of health (remaining full charge capacity relative to rated capacity in %).
Battery Maintenance Tips
To extend the lifespan of your Tablet’s battery:
- Avoid elevated temperatures — Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can reduce battery lifetime.
- Use optimal charging patterns — Prolonged exposure to fast charging (charging rates higher than battery specification) and continuous exposure to high states of charge (keeping the battery above 95% for long durations) can accelerate degradation and reduce battery lifetime. Your Tablet includes a battery management feature that stops charging power once the battery is full and does not resume until the charge drops below 95%.
- Use the Battery Protection feature — Your Tablet offers an optional battery setting to stop charging at 80% capacity, which can help extend battery lifespan. You will be informed about this feature when you plug in your Tablet to charge for the first time.
- Turn on Battery Saver feature — Your Tablet offers a Battery Saver feature that turns on dark theme and limits or turns off background activity, some visual effects, certain features, and some network connections to extend battery life.
- Turn off unused radio connections — Disabling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless connections when not in use reduces power consumption. This will not have a specific impact on long-term battery cycle life unless the device is kept at a high state of charge (above 95%) for extended periods.
