About Your Amazon Business Card Benefits and Rewards
The Prime Business Card and Amazon Business Card are issued by U.S. Bank and offer Rewards on eligible purchases, plus the option to use Equal Monthly Payments on eligible purchases on Amazon.com and Amazon Business in the U.S.
“Rewards” are earned by cardmembers for using their Prime Business Card or Amazon Business Card. Rewards are earned as a percentage of Net Purchases (purchases minus credits and returns) and issued in the form of points.
Earning Rewards
Your Rewards rate depends on which card you have and where you shop.
Prime Business Card (requires Amazon Prime membership):
- 5% back on the first $150,000 in Net Purchases made at Amazon-covered Sites (U.S. Amazon.com, Amazon Business, AWS, and Whole Foods Market) by all cardmembers each calendar year, thereafter 1%
- 5% back on prepaid travel booked through the U.S. Bank Travel Center using your Prime Business Card*
Amazon Business Card (no Amazon Prime membership required):
- 3% back on the first $150,000 in Net Purchases made at Amazon-covered Sites by all cardmembers each calendar year, thereafter 1%
- 3% back on prepaid travel booked through the U.S. Bank Travel Center using your Prime Business Card*
Rewards for both Prime Business Card and Amazon Business Card:
- 2% back on the first $150,000 each calendar year on the top 3 spending categories outside of Amazon-covered Sites. Top Categories are determined automatically each billing cycle based on the combined spend of all cardmembers. After reaching the $150,000 cap, you will earn 1% starting in the next billing cycle
- 1% back for all other Net Purchases
*Rewards for prepaid travel are deposited into the reward account after the Purchase has been processed for the prepaid travel reservation. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your earned Rewards to appear on your credit card billing statement.
Amazon Prime Membership and Your Rewards Rate
Your Rewards rate on Amazon-covered Sites (5% or 3% back) is determined by the Amazon Prime membership status of the Amazon account you used to apply for your Prime Business Card or Amazon Business Card.
If you have linked your Amazon.com and Amazon Business accounts together, your Amazon Prime membership status can be determined by either account. As long as one of your linked accounts has an active Amazon Prime membership, you will earn 5% back on eligible Purchases at Amazon-covered Sites. To learn more about linking your Amazon.com and Amazon Business accounts, see Amazon Account Linking.
If your Amazon Prime membership lapses or is cancelled, your Rewards earning rate will change from 5% back to 3% back on Amazon-covered Sites and prepaid travel booked through the U.S. Bank Travel Center. All other earning rates (2% on Top Categories, 1% on everything else) remain the same. Any Rewards you have already earned will remain in your account and can still be redeemed.
If you have an active Amazon Prime membership but are not receiving 5% back, your card may be associated with a different Amazon account than the one with your Amazon Prime membership. Contact Amazon Customer Service for help linking your accounts or transferring card ownership to your Amazon Prime account.
Important: Simply removing the card from your wallet and adding it to a different account will not resolve this issue. You must contact Amazon Customer Service to make the necessary changes.
Top 3 Spending Categories for 2% Back
Your top 3 categories are determined automatically each billing cycle — you do not need to select or activate them. Eligible categories include:
- Accounting & Tax Services
- Advertising & Direct Marketing
- Airlines
- Car Rental
- Cell Phone Providers
- Computer & Software Services
- Dining
- Drug Stores & Pharmacies
- Entertainment (includes most cinemas, theme parks, concert venues, professional sport venues, and qualifying ticket sellers)
- Gas & EV Stations
- Grocery Stores
- Hotels
- Office Supply Stores
- Postal & Shipping Services

Note: Each merchant's business is identified by a category code established by Mastercard. U.S. Bank does not determine the category codes applied to merchants' businesses and reserves the right to determine which Purchases are in the Top Categories and qualify for additional Rewards.
Redeeming Your Rewards
Rewards can be redeemed in two ways:
- Shop with Points — Redeem Amazon Rewards at checkout on Amazon.com and Amazon Business in the U.S. by selecting "Use Amazon Rewards points" at checkout. Your card must be enrolled in Shop with Points to redeem this way. Only the primary cardmembers can redeem Rewards through Shop with Points; employee cardholders cannot.
- Statement credit — Redeem Amazon Rewards as a statement credit through the Rewards Center at usbank.com or the U.S. Bank mobile app.
For more information about redeeming Rewards, see Amazon Business Card Frequently Asked Questions.
Rewards Expiration
Your Rewards do not expire as long as your Prime Business Card or Amazon Business Card account remains open and in good standing. Rewards may be affected in the following situations:
- If your account is not in good standing (not past due or overlimit), you may not be able to redeem Rewards until the account returns to good standing.
- If your account is closed (by you or by U.S. Bank), you will lose all unredeemed Rewards
