Amazon Account Linking
Account Linking enables you to link a personal Amazon account with an Amazon Business account, and easily navigate the stores while keeping your accounts separate.
If you have separate accounts for personal and business use, you can link them to benefit from a seamless shopping experience between Amazon and Amazon Business.
Some features require Amazon and Amazon Business to access your personal and business data across both accounts. Your accounts will remain separate. We will not share addresses, payment methods, orders, or subscriptions across accounts.
Features enabled by Account Linking:
The following features are part of the Account Linking experience.
If you would like to opt-out of these features, you can unlink your accounts at any time through the Account Linking page.
By linking your personal and business accounts, you agree to enable the features listed, and allow Amazon and Amazon Business to access the necessary data to provide the feature.
- Simplified sign in.
- When you sign in with 1 account in a new browser or mobile app, the linked account will be readily available from the account picker. To switch over, enter the specific account's password. To enable this feature, we will access the email addresses of your personal and business accounts.
- Share critical notifications about your account health.
- You will receive important updates about the status of your accounts while signed into your personal or business account. We will communicate these updates by email or onsite notifications, and can include:
- Business verification status: If you submitted your business account registration and are waiting for the verification confirmation, we will notify you on your personal account when your business account is available. For this feature, we will access the status of your business account verification.
- Prime or Business Prime membership status changes, such as payment failures, membership suspension or at-risk, invoice availability: For this feature, we will access the status of both your memberships and the payment method associated with them.
- You will receive important updates about the status of your accounts while signed into your personal or business account. We will communicate these updates by email or onsite notifications, and can include:
- Determining your eligibility for free Business Prime Duo.
- Business Prime Duo is the free Business Prime plan for one-person businesses with a Prime subscription.
- If you are an account administrator who has linked your personal and business accounts, Amazon Business will determine whether you are eligible for a free Business Prime Duo account. For this feature, we will check the status of your Prime membership on your personal account.
- If eligible, we will recommend you to subscribe to Business Prime Duo. You are still required to sign up to activate the subscription.
- Business Prime Duo is the free Business Prime plan for one-person businesses with a Prime subscription.
- Recommendations across Amazon services.
- When shopping with your Amazon or Amazon Business accounts, you will receive better recommendations, including personalized marketing communications through email or onsite communications.
- We may inform you about offers, selection, and features available on 1 store when you are shopping in your other account.
We will update the list as we introduce more cross-account features.
