Fire TV Home Screen

The categories on your Fire TV Home screen help you navigate your Fire TV experience.

Availability for some of the categories may vary across countries and devices.

Search - Your search and discovery tool for Fire TV content. You can:

  • Quickly locate movies and TV shows across multiple streaming services.
  • Find and download apps.
  • Discover new entertainment.
  • Find a personalized collection of music and podcasts.

Home - Your central hub for finding your apps and recently watched content.

Movies - Explore movies that are available through your Fire TV.

Press and hold the Home button on your remote to access key settings and features without leaving playback.

TV Shows - Watch your favorite TV shows.

Live TV - Watch live TV channels from supported apps or access content from your active subscriptions.

  • Live TV may require active subscriptions to supported streaming services.

News - Stay updated on the latest news.

Long-press the Select button to find more options for the content on your Fire TV. You can do things like add a movie or tv show to your Watchlist, uninstall an app, reorder your Apps row, and more.

Main Menu

Open your Fire TV's main menu to find more features, access your saved content, and manage your device settings. You can use the Menu button on your remote or navigate to the menu icon on the side of your Fire TV.

Fire TV Profiles - Choose from the profiles on your device, edit a profile, or create a new one.

Inputs - Access the Input menu on your Fire TV.

Movies & TV - Browse and watch movies and TV shows.

Appstore - Explore apps and games that you can download on your Fire TV.

Games - Discover and play games directly on your Fire TV.

My Stuff - A personal hub for your saved and recorded content on Fire TV.

Art & Photos - Explore art and photo collections to display them on your Fire TV screen. You can explore the following categories and set them as your Fire TV screensaver:

  • Curated art photography collections
  • Your Amazon Photos collections
  • Create AI Art with Alexa
  • Motion Art
  • Interactive Art scenes that respond to your presence and movement

Settings - Manage your Fire TV device settings.

Smart Home - Control your smart home devices.

Ambient - Activate your Fire TV’s Ambient Experience. Ambient Experience displays curated art, personal photos while your Fire TV is idle.

You can also activate the Ambient Experience by pressing the Alexa button on your remote.

Settings Menu

Go to Settings from your Fire TV menu to manage your device settings.

You can also access Settings by asking Alexa, “Go to Settings.”

Network - Connect your Fire TV to the internet and manage your network settings.

Display & Sounds - Adjust the screensaver, set the video resolution, change the audio output, or manage display mirroring, HDMI CEC settings, and more.

Applications - Manage the settings for the Appstore and the apps installed on your Fire TV.

Equipment Control - Manage how your Fire TV device interacts with your connected equipment. You can add and manage devices such as compatible A/V receivers or soundbars.

Controllers & Bluetooth Devices - Add and remove compatible remotes, game controllers, and Bluetooth devices.

Preferences - Manage parental controls, access your notification and privacy settings, or change the language and time displayed on your Fire TV.

My Fire TV or Device & Software - Update the software on your Fire TV and display available storage. You can also perform device functions like restart, sleep, and reset to factory defaults.

Accessibility - Turn on accessibility features to enhance your Fire TV experience:

  • VoiceView: Speaks on-screen text out loud as you navigate menu options and setting.
  • High Contrast Text: Improves text readability for users with low vision.
  • Closed Captions: Display subtitles for users who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Account & Profile Settings - Manage the registered account and the profiles on your Fire TV. You can also select Sync Amazon Content to refresh the content on your Fire TV.
