Set Up Your Echo Pop Kids

Use the Alexa app to set up your Echo Pop Kids.

Tip: Have your Wi-Fi password handy and enable Bluetooth on your phone for an easier setup experience.
  1. Download or update to the latest version of the Alexa app on your smartphone.
  2. Plug your Echo Pop Kids into an outlet. In about a minute, Alexa will greet you and let you know to complete setup in the Alexa app.
  3. Open the Alexa app on your phone and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.
Note: If you aren't prompted to set up your device after opening the Alexa app:
  1. Select Devices.
  2. Select + and then select Add a Device.
  3. Select Amazon Echo, and then Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Pop and more.
  4. Select Echo Pop Kids.
  5. Follow the instructions in the Alexa app.

Your Echo Pop Kids comes with 6 months of Amazon Kids+. When you set up your Echo Pop Kids for the first time, the Alexa app prompts you to select which child profile to connect to Amazon Kids, and to grant parental permission for the device.

Turning on Amazon Kids also allows you to set up your Parent Dashboard (parents.amazon.com). There you can add more content, games, books, skills and features, and set parental controls for your Kids profile.
