How to Set Up Your Device

Tip: Before setup, download the Alexa app from your mobile device's app store.
To set up your device:
  1. Plug in your Echo Pop Kids device with the included power adapter.
  2. On your mobile device, open the Alexa app .
  3. Select Devices .
  4. Select Plus .
  5. Select Add Device.
  6. Select Amazon Echo.
  7. Select Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Pop and more.
  8. Follow the instructions to set up your device.

Privacy and Support

To enable or disable your device's microphone, press the Microphones enable/disable button. A red light on the button means that the microphone is disabled. To turn your device's microphones on or off, press the button.

A blue light on the device means that Alexa is listening and processing your request in Amazon's secure cloud.

Parental Controls

Your Echo Pop Kids comes with 6 months of Amazon Kids+ (auto-renews at the applicable rate after the trial period).

Amazon Kids+ on Alexa lets you create a personalised experience for your children and choose what content they can access. To set daily time limits, monitor activity, share content, and manage your child's experience, use the Parent Dashboard.

Tip: Amazon Kids+ provides access to age-appropriate content, books, music, and skills. You can manage content filters and screen time directly from the Parent Dashboard at parents.amazon.com.

Troubleshoot Setup Issues

If setting up your device doesn't go as expected, try these suggestions:

  • If you get a login error or have forgotten your Amazon account password, you can reset your password. Go to Forgot Your Password.

  • If you're having issues with your Wi-Fi password, contact your internet service provider.
