What is Alexa Emergency Assist?
Alexa Emergency Assist is a subscription service that provides an extra level of protection to keep your family safe.
Alexa Emergency Assist is a subscription service that helps keep you and your family safe with hands-free access to a dedicated Urgent Response agent 24/7. If an emergency happens in your home, Emergency Assist keeps everyone in your family network informed.
Your subscription includes:
- 24/7 Urgent Response: Urgent Response agents are available 24/7, 365 days a year if you need help from police, fire, or ambulance.
- Smart Alerts: Alexa can detect smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and notifies you when you're away from home.
- Emergency Contacts: Add up to 25 Emergency Contacts to be automatically notified when a call is placed to the emergency helpline and when the call ends.
- Critical Information: Provide critical information like medical conditions, property gate codes, and details about pets in the home, so first responders will be prepared when they arrive.
To request help in an emergency, say "Call for help." Alexa will connect you with a dedicated agent who can request dispatch of emergency services.
Important: By default, Alexa does not support calling to emergency services numbers (for example, "911").
Alexa Emergency Assist does not support Echo on-the-go devices.
