Important: You are solely responsible for removing all data, including confidential and personal data, from the device before shipping or dropping it off. Returning Your Trade-in

Print your shipping label from your confirmation email or Your Trade-in Account. To ensure that you receive your benefits, ship your trade-in by the deadline shown in your account.

Shipping with UPS

  1. Go to Your Trade-in Account and select "Re-print shipping label
  2. Print your label and packing slip.
  3. Pack your item in a sturdy box or padded envelope with adequate protection.

    a) Important: Original boxes and packaging won’t be returned to you. Only include the item itself with applicable accessories in your trade-in shipment. For more information about required accessories and condition requirements, visit Electronics Condition Criteria.

  4. Place the packing slip with your trade-in order number inside the box.
  5. Attach the shipping label to the outside of the box. If provided, attach any required hazardous materials labels.
  6. Drop off your package at any UPS location.

Drop-off for Amazon Devices

If you're trading in an Amazon Device (Kindle, Tablet, Fire TV, Echo, Home Security Devices, or eero), you can drop it off at a participating location instead of shipping. Bring your device and confirmation email to any participating Trade-In Location. To find locations near you, go to Amazon Trade-In Participating Locations.

Note that you can’t change your shipping method after creating your order. If you selected UPS shipping when you created your trade-in, you must ship via UPS. If you select drop-off, you must complete your trade-in at a drop-off location. To use a different method, you'll need to cancel your order and create a new one.

Note:

Each label is unique: Each shipping label and packing slip is for a specific eligible item. Only ship the eligible item listed on that label.

Ship-by deadlines: Phones must be shipped within 30 days of receiving your new phone (if purchased together) or creating your trade-in. All other eligible items must be shipped within 45 days of creating your trade-in.

Missing the deadline: If you don’t send your Trade-in eligible item within the preceding timeframes, your Trade-in order may be canceled, which will result in forfeiting any promotions, Amazon limited-time rebates, and/or Amazon.com Gift Cards.

Drop-off for Amazon Devices: Trade-in items not manufactured by Amazon Devices (cell phones, video games, and electronics from other manufactures) aren’t currently accepted by in-store drop-off (Whole Foods Market, Amazon Locker Hub, Asurion)

Multiple return addresses: If your order has multiple eligible items with different return addresses and any eligible items are rejected, all rejected eligible items will be returned to your primary address (the first address listed in your order).

Your responsibility: You’re solely responsible for removing all personal data before shipping. Amazon doesn’t accept liability for any lost files or data.

For more information about minimum condition criteria, go to Electronics Condition Criteria. If your eligible item doesn't meet these requirements, consider recycling it through the Amazon Recycling Program.
