Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser Routine isn't Working
Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser routine isn't responding.
Note: Before set up, download the latest version of the Alexa app. Also check that your Echo device software is current. Just ask, "Is your software up to date?"
If your Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser isn't responding to a routine:
- Confirm the “pause routine” touch button
isn’t illuminated while hand washing. - Confirm that the routine is activated and connected to the correct Echo device. To confirm, open the Alexa app, go to More and select Routines and select your hand washing routine. Confirm that the routine is turned on.
- If a hand washing routine doesn't exist, set one up. Open the Alexa app and select Devices, and then All Devices. Then go to Soap Dispenser and select Set up new routine. During initial routine set up, make sure you select Enable to save your routine.
- Confirm that the selected Echo device is connected to Wi-Fi and responding to normal requests.
- Make sure you don't have multiple routines with the same name. If there’s an existing routine with the same name, the original routine will trigger instead of the new hand washing routine. Try deactivating the original routine or renaming the routine for your Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser.
