Set up Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser
Use the Alexa app to add your Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser to your device groups and create a routine for handwashing.
Your Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser arrives ready to use. You don't need to charge it. Complete set up in the Alexa app before adding soap.
Note: Before set up, download the latest version of the Alexa App. Also check that your Echo device software is current. Just ask, "Is your software up to date?"
To connect your device and pair with Alexa:
- Power on the device by holding the power button at the back.
- Open the Alexa app
after the blue indicator light appears. - Select Devices
. - Select
. - Select Add Device.
- Select Soap Dispenser and follow the on-screen instructions.
You'll be asked to press the pause routine button
on the top of the device for 5 seconds, until a white flashing light appears.
- On the Routine set up screen, select Tap here to select soap dispenser.
- Select your device, and then select Detected and Next to continue.
- Choose the Echo device you want your Routine to play from, and then select Enable.
- Turn off your dispenser and add soap. Go to Amazon Smart Soap Dispenser Quick Start Guide for detailed instructions for adding soap.
To set up your hand washing routine anytime, go to Devices and select All Devices. Then, select Soap Dispenser to set up your hand washing routine.
