Amazon Astro is Getting Stuck
Try these tips to fix navigation issues with Astro.
Astro may experience trouble navigating or get stuck in environments with some of the following:
- Clutter, debris, or low-lying obstacles on the floor.
- Floor to ceiling windows or mirrors.
- Highly reflective and hard to see objects or appliances.
- Shiny metallic plates or grates on the floor.
- Transparent chairs or glass tables.
- Flexible rugs.
- Ramps or flooring transitions larger than 1 3/8" (3.5 cm).
- Downward steps, ledges, or cliffs.
If your space contains any of these potential obstacles, try setting out of bounds zones around them so Astro knows not to go there. If Astro still has trouble navigating, try removing your map and going through exploration and tour space again.
Tip: Regularly clean Astro's front panel to keep Astro's operating area free from dirt, sand, sawdust, or other sediment.
