Map Setup on Amazon Astro

Use Astro's on-device menu to explore your map setup options.

Note: These steps are for setting up a new map with Astro. You can make edits to an existing map (such as changing room names) from Live View tab in the Astro app.

Astro guides you through setting up your charger, explores your space, and asks you for a tour as part of initial setup. If you need to repeat any of these steps after setup:

  1. Swipe down from the top of Astro's screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Map Setup.
  3. Choose from the options listed:
    • Charger Setup - Walks you through setting up Astro's charger.
    • Exploration - Astro will explore your space and learn the environment.
    • Tour - Astro will follow you around your space so you can teach it the names of each room.
