Perform a Full Factory Reset on Your Amazon Smart Thermostat

If your Amazon Smart Thermostat is unresponsive and a partial reset doesn't resolve the issue, do a factory reset to resolve most major issues.

Tip: Most issues are resolved by restarting the thermostat. Gently detach the device faceplate from the wall plate, wait a few seconds, and then reattach it. If the restart doesn't work, you can perform a partial reset before trying the full factory reset. Refer to Perform a Partial Reset on Your Amazon Smart Thermostat.

If a restart or partial reset doesn't resolve the problem, you can reset the device to its original factory settings. A factory reset erases all data on the thermostat, including HVAC configuration and device settings.

  2. Press and hold the middle Mode button until sET appears on the display, which should happen after the five-second countdown.
