Perform a Partial Reset on Your Amazon Smart Thermostat
If your device is showing as unresponsive in the Alexa app, isn't responding to voice commands, or is having connectivity issues, perform a partial reset.
Tip: Most common issues are resolved by restarting the thermostat. Gently detach the device faceplate from the wall plate, wait a few seconds, and then reattach it.
If restarting your thermostat doesn't resolve the problem, you can try a partial reset. A partial reset erases all data on the thermostat except for HVAC configurations.
- On the Smart Thermostat, press the Up Temperature and middle Mode buttons together for 10 seconds, until rEs appears on the display.
- Press and hold the middle Mode button until the device resets, which should happen after the five-second countdown.
When the device resets, wait for a red exclamation mark to appear on the thermostat screen to set up the device again.
- To set up your device again, follow the Set Up Your Amazon Smart Thermostat instructions to set up the device and reconnect it to Wi-Fi.
Note: If a partial reset doesn't resolve your issue, you can perform a full factory reset to restore the device to its factory settings. Refer to
