Prime Visa and Amazon Visa Rewards Points

Prime Visa and Amazon Visa offer rewards on every purchase, both on and off Amazon.com.

How do you earn rewards on your card?

Cardmembers can earn:

  • 5% back (with an eligible Prime membership) or 3% back at Amazon.com, including digital downloads, Amazon.com Gift Cards, Amazon Prime subscriptions, items sold by third-party merchants through Amazon.com’s marketplace (including Amazon Fresh (online or in-store), Prime Video, Kindle Unlimited purchases, Amazon Pharmacy and PilPack, and purchases at Woot using Amazon Pay), any Whole Foods Market, and the participating Amazon stores and sites listed at https://www.amazon.com/amazonvisa/benefits.
  • 5% back (with an eligible prime membership) or 3% back on Chase Travel purchases. You can find more details on Chase Travel in the detailed Chase Travel FAQ page on Chase.
  • 2% back at gas stations and restaurants.
  • 2% back on local transit and commuting, including rideshare
  • 1% back on all other purchases.

Your % back rewards are earned as points. You get one point for every penny you earn in % back rewards. Every 100 points = $1.00 when redeemed at Amazon.com or Chase.com toward eligible purchases.

How are rewards you earn issued to your card?

Points are earned on purchases after the close of each qualifying Daily Rewards posting. If you have more returns or refunds than points earned from purchases or bonuses after the close of each qualifying Daily Rewards posting, then points will be deducted from your total points balance and may result in a negative points balance. If this happens, you can continue using your card as normal to build your balance back up. You'll see your total points balance earned on Chase.com and after each statement billing cycle on your monthly credit card billing statement. Points earned on purchases after the close of each qualifying Daily Rewards posting are generally available to be used the same day; however, points earned on purchases after the close of the last qualifying Daily Rewards posting, may take up to one additional day to become available.

How do you see the rewards you have earned?

You can see your available points and your rewards history by visiting your account on the cardmember page.

You can see the points earned on each purchase by logging on to Chase.com, going to See Account Activity and selecting the carat sign next to each transaction for details.

How do you redeem rewards on your card?

You can use your points for eligible purchases at Amazon.com or redeem your points through Chase.com for cash back, gift cards, and travel.

Minimum redemption amounts apply to gift cards and cash back at Chase.com. See Rewards Program Agreement for details.

Note:
  • There are no point maximums or earning limits.
  • Points don't expire as long as you are a cardmember with an open account in good standing.
  • Prime Visa and Amazon Visa cardmembers are automatically enrolled in the Shop with Points program. If you haven't added your card to your Amazon account, add your card to your Wallet and you will be enrolled automatically.
  • Only one Prime Visa can earn 5% back, if multiple cards are on an Amazon account.
  • If an additional Amazon Visa is added to an Amazon account as a secondary Amazon Visa, only the primary card earns the 5%, if the secondary card doesn't have an associated Prime owner.
