Removing and Re-Installing Amazon Astro's Caster Wheel
How to remove and re-install Astro's caster wheel.
Note: Don't use a powered screwdriver when removing or installing the caster wheel, as this could damage your device.
To remove the caster wheel:
- Place the device on its side.
- To remove the caster from its stem, use the indentations on the side of the caster to pull the caster away from the device.
- Eject the caster wheel from the caster shroud. Insert a small screwdriver into one of the two holes in the top of the caster shroud.
- Remove the caster wheel side caps by pulling them outward from the wheel.
To re-install the wheel:
- Re-install the side caps by pressing them back onto the caster wheel shafts.
- Align the caps with the caster shroud.
- Press the caster wheel into the caster shroud until it clicks into place on both sides.
- Place the caster back onto the device by aligning the center hole to the stem.
- Press the caster firmly onto the stem. The caster should be flush with the bottom of the device.
Note: Both the caster and caster wheel should be able to spin freely.
