Removing and Re-Installing Amazon Astro's Front Wheels

How to remove and re-install Astro's wheels.

Remove Astro's wheels if you need to clean or remove objects from the wheels.

Note: Do not use a powered screwdriver when removing or installing the wheels, as this could damage your device.

To remove the wheel:

  1. Place the device on its side.
  2. Rotate the wheel until one of three push points on the inside of the wheel are exposed.
  3. Press on the push point to release the hubcap.
  4. Turn the wheel and repeat steps 2 and 3 for all three push points.
  5. Once the hubcap is released, use a cross-head screwdriver to loosen the three screws on the wheel. Loosened screws will remain captive with the wheel.
  6. Pull the wheel from the device.

To re-install the wheel:

  1. Place the wheel on the surface.
  2. Use a cross-headed screwdriver to tighten the three screws. Ensure that the screws are fully tightened.
  3. Align the three lines on the outside of the hubcap with the push point slots on the wheel and place the hubcap on the wheel.
  4. Press down on each of the three lines on the outside of the hubcap to make sure the hubcap is secure.
