How to Access Store Card Features with your Amazon Secured Credit Card

Amazon Secured Cardholders can convert to the Store Card features in as little as twelve months.

After you have been an account holder for 12 months, Synchrony Bank will determine if you’re eligible to convert to the Store Card features of your account based on specific eligibility criteria and your credit profile.

If your Amazon Secured Card is eligible to convert to the Store Card features, Amazon will notify you via email. This email will have a link that provides you information about your options.

If you choose to convert, Synchrony Bank will issue you a new card number which will be automatically added to your Amazon wallet. Your deposit will be returned to you minus the amount needed to pay off any:

  1. existing non-promotional balance on the secured card features
  2. expiring (within 2 months) deferred interest promotional balances and required payments due on Equal Monthly Payment balances
  3. remaining minimum payments due on the account if not covered by 1 and 2

You will not need to register to Synchrony's E-Service Site again. Your existing login to manage your account will continue to work. Since this is still the same Amazon Secured Card account, with just a different set of features enabled, the account history will transfer to the new card.
