Add or Remove a Child Profile
How to setup, add, or remove a child profile.
Control access and settings on your kids' child profiles through Parent Dashboard and Amazon Family.
To add a child profile:
- Go to Parent Dashboard or Amazon Family and select Add / Create a Child profile or the 'New +' icon
- Enter your child's name and birthdate and select Add Child. To add a 2nd Child Profile:
- Select the '+' icon beside your Child's display picture.
- Choose Add Profile / Add a Child.
- Add your child's name and birthdate and select Add Child.
You can also add a child profile via the Parent Dashboard app. Go to:
- App Home
- Select Child (top left) and Add a Child Profile
- Enter Child's Name and Birth date
- To confirm, select Add Child.
To remove a child profile from your Amazon account:
- Go to Amazon Family.
- Select the profile that you wish to remove.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Remove from your Amazon Family.
To remove a child profile from the Parent Dashboard:
- Visit the Parent Dashboard.
- Select the blank child profile icon.
- Select the pencil icon against the profile that you wish to remove.
- Select Remove Profile.
- Save changes.
Note: Once a child profile is removed from Parent Dashboard, it will no longer be usable or visible on Amazon Kids compatible devices. To remove the profile from your Amazon account, follow the steps in the section:
Remove a Child Profile from your Amazon account.
Child profiles inactive for more than 18 months are removed automatically. After its removal, you'll no longer be able to access the child profile.
Note: Via the Parent Dashboard mobile app, you can now troubleshoot common issues and provide feedback on app features:
- Within the app, visit More (bottom right).
- Go to Feedback and Troubleshooting.
- Choose the applicable options from the list (App Issues or Give Feedback).
