Set Up Your Amazon Device Before It Arrives
Some Amazon devices can be set up before they arrive, which helps them work right out of the box.
Before you begin device preset up:
- Sign in to the Amazon account used to place your device order.
Note: Not all Amazon devices support set up before delivery.
- If your device doesn’t support pre setup, you can set it up after it arrives using the instructions included in the box or in the device setup help.
Your order includes a setup link
Some eligible devices include a set up link with the order.
Where to find the setup link?
- On your order confirmation page, in the digital set up section, under your order details.
- In the order confirmation email, sent to the email address associated with your Amazon account.
How to set up your device?
- Select the set up link.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- A confirmation message confirms set up once it's complete.
A setup link is the fastest way to complete device pre-setup before delivery.
Your order doesn't include a setup link
Some devices may still support setup before delivery, even if a setup link isn't included with the order.
To Check:
- Visit Manage Your Devices.
- Select the device that you want to setup.
- Follow the instructions to complete the setup process, if available.
A confirmation message lets you know when device setup is complete.
If you're having trouble setting up your device before it arrives:
- Make sure that you're logged into the correct Amazon account.
- Use the Amazon account that ordered the device.
- Your device may not be compatible for set up before it arrives.
