Set Up Your Echo Device Before It Arrives

You can set up certain Echo devices before the device arrives.

Compatible devices include a setup link on the order confirmation page. You'll also receive an email with a link to set up your device. To complete setup, click the link and follow the instructions.

Tip: You can set up a device on behalf of someone else. Select Someone Else under Account Information when setting up your device.

To set up your Alexa device before it arrives without this link:

Go to Manage Your Devices.
Select the device that you want to set up.
Follow the instructions to complete the setup process.

A confirmation message lets you know when device setup is complete.

Note: This feature is not currently available on all Echo devices.
