Use Writing Assist on Fire Tablet

Writing Assist is a generative AI-powered writing assistant available across any app or task on Fire Tablets running FireOS 8. Select the Writing Assist button at the top of your keyboard to get suggested improvements to writing style, tone, grammar, spelling, and more.

Important: To use this feature, you must set your keyboard language to English (United States). To change your keyboard language to English (United States):

  1. Select Settings, the select Device Options.
  2. Select Keyboard & Language, then select Languages.
  3. Select English (United States).

Select the Writing Assist button at the top of your keyboard across any app or task. The feature auto highlights your text. Choose from tools available to enhance your writing such as Proofread, Rewrite, Elaborate, Concise, Key Points, and Emojify. You can also select preset styles including Professional, Witty, and Casual.

Emojify offers a way to infuse writing with personality and flair through intelligently matched emojis. Select Emojify and get suggested emojis to accompany your writing.

To activate or deactivate Writing Assist

  1. Select Settings, then select Device Options.
  2. Select Keyboard & Language, then select Current Keyboard Settings.
  3. Turn on Show Word Suggestions and Writing Assist.

Note: Writing Assist is currently only available to users in the U.S., who have registered their Fire Tablet to an Amazon.com account.
