Oregon Bicycle Excise Tax

The Bicycle Excise Tax is a flat tax of $15, to be collected at the point of sale. The tax is applied to the purchase of each new bicycle that meets all the following criteria:

i) Is exclusively human powered or is electric-assisted;

ii) Is new or not previously owned by a consumer; and

iii) The retail sales price is $200 or more.
