The Amazon Smart Thermostat Display Is Blank

If your Amazon Smart Thermostat display is blank or the thermostat stops responding, try these troubleshooting steps.

  • The display might dim when inactive. Touch the display face to activate it and see the full display.
  • Increase the display brightness for your Thermostat in the Alexa app. Go to Change the Display on Your Amazon Smart Thermostat for more information.
  • Make sure all the wiring is correct, according to the Alexa app instructions, and firmly connected.
  • Check your C-wire connection. If you need a C-wire adapter, you can purchase one separately. Refer to Connect a C-Wire Adapter to Your Amazon Smart Thermostat for more information.
  • Verify that there’s no power outage, and that your circuit breaker has power.
  • Check that there’s no blown fuse amps (3 and 5) on the furnace board.
