Manage Your Oura Experience on Alexa+
Connect your Oura ring to bring your health and wellness scores into your daily routines with Alexa+.
Link Your Oura Account
You can link one Oura account per Amazon account, which connects to your Alexa profile. Only the primary account holder can link an Oura account. Non-primary profiles cannot link their Oura ring to Alexa. You can check whether you are the primary account holder by visiting your Amazon Family page.
When linked, Oura shares health metrics (Sleep, Readiness, Activity, Heart Rate, and SpO2) that are encrypted and stored securely in the Amazon Cloud. All data is handled according to Amazon’s Privacy Notice and is used to personalize your experience and improve our services. Health metrics shared by Oura are accessible using your Alexa devices. You can unlink your Oura account at any time to stop sharing data with Alexa.
Wellness Briefing
Alexa provides a personalized summary that includes information from the day before (like how you slept) and your readiness. Alexa uses wellness scores from your Oura Ring along with the weather forecast and your calendar to provide actionable guidance like activity suggestions to meet your goals.
To set up your wellness briefing:
- Say, "Set up my daily wellness briefing routine" or "Give me my wellness briefing."
- Setup in the Alexa app:
- Open the Alexa App.
- Select More.
- Select Routines.
- Select Wellness Briefing Routine from the Health & Wellness category.
Wellness Briefing is also available as an action to add to your existing routines or to create new routines.
Personalized Bedtime
Alexa uses Oura's recommended optimal bedtime to help you set up a routine for a good night's sleep. You can use Oura's optimal bedtime to create Routines for actions like adjusting your thermostat temperature, turning off your lights, or playing calming music.
To set up your personalized bedtime routine:
- Say, "Set up my bedtime routine with Oura."
- Setup in the Alexa app:
- Open the Alexa App.
- Select More.
- Select Routines.
- Select Personalized Bedtime Routine from the Health & Wellness category.
Oura's Optimal Bedtime is also available as a trigger to add to your existing routines or to create a new routine.
Health & Wellness Widget
See your sleep score, readiness, activity progress, optimal bedtime, and more on your eligible Echo device with a screen throughout the day. Choose a tile on your device or speak to Alexa to dive deeper into any metric that interests you.
Conversational Q&A
Alexa+ answers your questions about Oura metrics. Whether you want to check your sleep score while making breakfast, ask about your heart rate variability while getting dressed, or inquire about trends over time after a workout, just ask Alexa.
Example questions include:
- "Suggest a workout."
- "How did I sleep last night?"
- "Tell me more about my Readiness Score"
- "How long did I sleep on average this week?"
- "What was my resting heart rate last night?"
- "How is the readiness score calculated?"

Personalization with Voice ID & Visual ID
Use voice or visual ID to personalize Alexa's responses. When recognized, Alexa shares relevant metrics on the home screen widget of your supported Echo device.
