BATTERY SAFETY

This product contains alkaline batteries. The remote requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5 V alkaline or 1.2 NiMH rechargeable AAA-sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment in accordance with the battery manufacturer's recommendations.

Maintaining Your Fire TV Stick HD

Only handle your devices with clean hands. Clean your devices only with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe it with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals. Don't expose your devices to steam, extreme heat or cold. For example, do not install your device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat. Store devices in a cool, dust-free areas out of direct sunlight.

Use of third party accessories may impact your devices' performance. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your devices' limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to device or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Fire TV Stick HD

Your Fire TV Stick HD does not have an on/off button. It can be powered either by directly connecting to the TV's USB-A port with the cable provided in-box or using an external power adapter (not provided in-box). If you wish to stop power from flowing into your Fire TV Stick HD, unplug the USB-A cable from the TV or remove the power adapter. Only use Amazon recommended power adapter with your device. Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet. If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire. Your device may get hot during normal use. If you find the Fire TV Stick HD has become hot to the touch, unplug it from the TV's USB-A port or the power supply and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.

OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

  • A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns, such as when watching video or playing games. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult a doctor before watching videos or playing games.
  • Engaging in repetitive motions such as pressing buttons or playing some games may cause you to experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
  • Discontinue use of your device and consult a physician if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, involuntary movement, disorientation, or other discomfort. To reduce risk of these symptoms avoid prolonged use, watch your television from a far distance and in a well-lit room, and take frequent breaks.
  • Handle your device and its accessories with care. Your device and its accessories may have pointed edges which can lead to scratches, cuts, or other physical injury.
  • Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
  • The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that television should be avoided for infants and children under 2 years of age.
  • Do not touch your Fire TV Stick HD or any wires connected to your Fire TV Stick HD during a lightning storm. Do not expose adapter or cable to liquids.
  • If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
  • Your Fire TV Stick HD may get hot during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your Fire TV Stick HD on a heat resistant surface. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling

The Fire TV Stick HD and Alexa Voice Remote generate, use, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment.
