Alexa and Amazon Devices Acceptable Use Policy

This Alexa and Amazon Devices Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to your use of Alexa and Amazon Devices (including any services we provide in connection with your use of such Devices), any other product or service that references this Policy, and all content generated or provided by Alexa, Amazon Devices, or such other product or service (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is part of the Alexa Terms of Use and the Amazon Device Terms of Use. We may update this Policy from time to time. By using any Service, you agree to the latest version of this Policy.

Prohibitions. You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate the law or engage in any fraudulent, malicious, or dangerous activity;
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or otherwise cause harm to any person, group, or entity;
  • Incite, promote, or encourage violence, terrorism, or other harm;
  • Damage, interfere with, or improperly access any property, system, computer, software, or network;
  • Infringe, violate, or misappropriate any intellectual property, proprietary, privacy, or other right of any person, group, or entity, including by reproducing or distributing content protected by copyright if you lack any necessary rights to do so;
  • Intentionally deceive, mislead, or spread misinformation;
  • Provide legal, financial, or medical advice, or advice on any other topic that requires professional expertise or a license to practice;
  • Generate, reproduce, or distribute content that includes the name, likeness, or personal information of any person if you lack any necessary rights to do so;
  • Generate, reproduce, or distribute explicit sexual content;
  • Facilitate, encourage, or promote any activity prohibited by this Policy.

No Circumvention. You may not circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any measures designed to ensure the safety, security, or intended functionality of the Services, or any measures designed to monitor or enforce compliance with this Policy.

Reliability. The Services may use machine learning models to interpret and provide responses to requests, and may generate responses based, in part, on patterns in the data used to train those models. The Services may get things wrong, including by misinterpreting requests, providing inaccurate responses, failing to take a requested action, and/or taking an action different from what you requested. You should not rely on the Services in circumstances where these types of mistakes could cause harm.

Chatbots.The Services may include chatbots powered by generative AI. Chatbots may not be suitable for some minors.
