Bookshelf Recipient Policy

This Amazon Bookshelf Recipient Policy (this "Policy") describes policies that apply to your access to and use of the Amazon Bookshelf service ("Bookshelf"). Your use of Bookshelf is subject to the Kindle Store Terms of Use, the Audible Service Conditions of Use, the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, the Amazon Gift Card Terms, the Amazon Gift Card Restrictions and Prohibited Activities, the Amazon Business Terms and Conditions, and the Amazon.com Conditions of Use. Capitalized terms not defined below have the meaning provided in the Amazon.com Kindle Store Terms of Use. 


 Amazon may change Bookshelf or this Policy at any time by posting the revised policy on the amazon.com website. Your continued use of Bookshelf following the effective date of any changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes.

  • Information shared with the entity who populates the Bookshelf ("Bookshelf Administrator") is limited to only the redemption amount of the purchase, and aggregated data on titles purchased, format, and number of recipients that joined the Bookshelf. 
  • Bookshelf is currently only available to United States customers. Some Kindle eBooks, Audible Content, and/or Physical Books may not be available for purchase through Bookshelf. We reserve the sole right to substitute formats of selected content for any reason. 
  • Bookshelf Vouchers are limited time offers and will be revoked after the valid through date. 
  • Bookshelf item returns are subject to our returns policies. If you return an item purchased with a Bookshelf Voucher on or before the "valid through" date, we will credit your account with a Bookshelf Voucher, which may be used for purchase of an eligible Bookshelf item on or before the same "valid through" date. If you return an item after the "valid through" date set for the Bookshelf Voucher, you will have seven days to use your refunded voucher balance before it is revoked and refunded to Bookshelf Administrator. 


Bookshelf Administrator Policy

This Amazon Bookshelf Administrator Policy (this "Policy") describes policies that apply to your access to and use of the Amazon Bookshelf service ("Bookshelf"). The examples described in this Policy are not exhaustive. Your use of Bookshelf is subject to the Amazon Business Accounts Terms and Conditions, the Kindle Store Terms of Use, the Audible Service Conditions of Use, the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, the Amazon Corporate Gift Card Purchase & Distribution Terms, and the Amazon.com Conditions of Use. Capitalized terms not defined below have the meaning provided in the Amazon.com Kindle Store Terms of Use. 
 
 Amazon may change Bookshelf or this Policy at any time by posting the revised policy on the Amazon.com website. Your continued use of Bookshelf following the effective date of any changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes.
 
Restrictions and Limitation. You may not charge others, directly or indirectly, to distribute digital content via Bookshelf. You may not use Bookshelf to violate the security or integrity of any Kindle Content, Service, or Supported Device. Bookshelf is currently only available to United States customers. Some Kindle Content, Audible Content, and/or Physical Books may not be available for purchase through Bookshelf. Each Bookshelf is required to have at least one Physical Book that is redeemable by Bookshelf recipients. We reserve the sole right to substitute formats of selected content for any reason.
 
Returns and Exchanges. Bookshelf item returns are subject to our returns policies. If a user who receives an invitation to a Bookshelf ("Bookshelf Recipient") returns a Bookshelf item on or before the "valid through" date of the Bookshelf voucher used to purchase the item, the Bookshelf Recipient will receive a refund in the form of a Bookshelf voucher with the same "valid through" date. If a Bookshelf Recipient returns a Bookshelf item after the "valid through" date of the Bookshelf voucher used to purchase the item, the Bookshelf Recipient will have seven days to use the refunded Bookshelf voucher balance before it is revoked and the equivalent value credited back to the Bookshelf Administrator's voucher balance. If a Bookshelf voucher issued to a Bookshelf Recipient is not used by the voucher's "valid through" date, the voucher will be revoked, and the equivalent value credited back to the Bookshelf Administrator's voucher balance. The value of any unused or refunded Bookshelf vouchers retained by the Bookshelf Administrator does not expire.
 
Termination of Your Bookshelf Account. We may investigate any violation of these Bookshelf Terms or misuse of Bookshelf. Amazon may limit or revoke your access to Bookshelf at any time and without notice, for example if you fail to comply with any of these Bookshelf Terms. Amazon's failure to enforce your compliance with these Bookshelf Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of its rights. If Amazon terminates your rights to access Bookshelf, you must cease all use of Bookshelf. Amazon reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Bookshelf at any time. Amazon will not be liable to you for its exercise of this right.
