Personalize Alexa's Voice Responses
Customize how Alexa responds to you by adjusting your voice settings.
Use the steps on the help page Change Alexa's Voice or say, "change your voice." If you want to go back to your original Alexa's voice, simply say "go back to your original voice."
Note: All Alexa+ voices are enhanced versions of the original Alexa. For an enhanced version of the original voice, you can select
Feminine 2, relaxed from the available voice options. Voice changes are device-specific and will not apply across your account.
To adjust more voice settings:
- Open the Alexa app
. - Select More
. - Select Settings
. - Then select Voice Responses.
Adjust speaking speed using the Speaking Rate slider or say "speak faster" or "speak slower."
With Brief Mode, Alexa uses short acknowledgments or sounds instead of full voice responses.
With Whisper Mode, Alexa responds in a whispered voice when you whisper.
With Adaptive Volume, Alexa automatically adjusts volume based on ambient noise.
Note: Select
Sync to apply these voice settings across your compatible devices.
