SAFETY INFORMATION
READ ALL SAFETY INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE DEVICE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.
BATTERY SAFETY
HANDLE WITH CARE. The Bee Frontier contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery and should be replaced only by an authorized service provider. Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred or attempt to access the battery in your Bee Frontier. Do not modify or remanufacture the battery, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or expose it to water or other liquids, expose to fire, explosion or other hazard. Only use the battery for the system for which it is specified. Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage or other hazard. Do not short-circuit a battery or allow metallic conductive objects to come into contact with battery terminals. Avoid dropping the device or battery. If the device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, do not attempt repair. Contact Bee Customer Service for assistance.
This product contains non-replaceable batteries.
Battery type: LIR1054 (Lithium-ion, rechargeable)
Nominal voltage: 3.85V
Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 60°C or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
BATTERY INGESTION WARNING (per UL 4200A / 16 CFR 1263)
WARNING
- INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
- DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
- A swallowed button cell or coin cell battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
- KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN.
- Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
SYMPTOMS FROM BATTERY INGESTION
No obvious symptoms: Unfortunately, it is not obvious when a button or coin battery is stuck in a child's oesophagus (food pipe). The child might:
- cough, gag or drool a lot;
- appear to have a stomach upset or a virus;
- be sick;
- point to their throat or stomach;
- have a pain in their abdomen, chest or throat;
- be tired or lethargic;
- be quieter or more clingy than usual or otherwise "not themselves";
- lose their appetite or have a reduced appetite; and
- not want to eat solid food / be unable to eat solid food.
These sorts of symptoms vary or fluctuate, with the pain increasing and then subsiding. A specific symptom to button or coin battery ingestion is vomiting fresh (bright red) blood. If the child does this, seek immediate medical help. The lack of clear symptoms is why it is important to be vigilant with "flat" or spare button or coin batteries in the home and the products that contain them.
WATER PROTECTION
Bee Frontier is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Bee Frontier during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands, but submerging Bee Frontier is not recommended. Avoid exposing the device to high-pressure water, running taps, or prolonged moisture. If your device gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth before charging. Do not charge your device until it has dried completely. Water resistance may diminish over time with normal wear. If corrosion appears on the device, discontinue use immediately.
Note: Bee Frontier has a water resistance rating of IPX7 under IEC standard 60529. Splash and water resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear.
MAY CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION
Do not wear the device too tightly or loosely. Wear it loose enough to allow air circulation. If you wear the device for an extended period or experience irritation or discomfort, remove the device for an hour to give your wrist a rest and allow your skin to breathe. If you continue to experience irritation or discomfort, discontinue use. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a physician.
Prolonged use or improper maintenance of this device may contribute to skin irritation or allergies in some users. Individuals with skin sensitivities, including to nickel and copper, may be more likely to experience irritation from wearable devices.
Turn Off Wireless When Flying
To prevent possible interference with aircraft systems, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration regulations and many other aviation agencies require you to have permission from a crewmember to use your device's wireless service.
USE CAUTION AROUND PACEMAKERS AND SIMILAR MEDICAL DEVICES
Personal medical devices, such as pacemakers, may be sensitive to magnetic and electromagnetic fields. Since the Device and certain accessories contain magnets and emit electromagnetic fields, maintain a safe distance from any personal medical device. If any interference is observed, consult with your doctor before resuming use.
USING YOUR DEVICE AROUND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Bee Frontier generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
- Your device does not include a power adapter. Bee Frontier charges via USB-C from any standard USB power source.
- Do not expose the USB-C port or cable to liquids while charging.
- If the cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
- Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
