Report an Issue with Account Security Actions
What to do if Amazon took security actions on your account that affected your access or orders, and how to report issues or verify your activity.
As a security measure, Amazon may take actions to protect your account when we detect suspicious activity. These actions include:
- Cancelling any pending orders
- Disabling your Amazon account password
- Signing you out of your account
While we take these precautions to protect our customers, we understand that sometimes legitimate activity may be mistaken for unauthorized access. Your feedback helps us ensure your account security while keeping access to your legitimate orders.
Missing orders after a security action on your account
If you notice that legitimate orders are missing from your account after Amazon took action to protect it from unauthorized access, we're here to help.
When Amazon detects suspicious activity on your account, we take immediate steps to protect you. This process may inadvertently affect legitimate orders that you placed before or during the security incident.
Provide feedback on a recent account action or report missing or incorrectly cancelled orders
To help us review your account accurately or if you believe that a legitimate order was incorrectly cancelled or removed, follow these steps:
- Open Verify Recent Order.
- If prompted, sign into your Amazon account and reset your password.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to verify a recent order.
Once verified and if the security actions were applied in error, we'll review your account and restore access within 24 hours.
