Amazon Games Social Giveaway Official Rules

These official rules (the “Official Rules”) govern the sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) described in the linked announcement for the Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes Announcement”). These Official Rules provide the framework for the Sweepstakes described in the Sweepstakes Announcement and apply in addition to any terms or conditions set forth in the Sweepstakes Announcement. The Sweepstakes begins and ends on the dates and at the times specified in the Sweepstakes Announcement (the “Promotion Period”). By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Amazon.com Services LLC, t/a Amazon Games, 410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle, Washington, 98109, USA (“Sponsor”).

Eligibility. You must be a legal resident of a country supported by the applicable Amazon Games title featured in the Sweepstakes Announcement who is at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your country of residence, if older. Sponsor’s and its affiliates’ employees and their immediate family members, and associates enrolled in the Amazon Associates program are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is not open to anyone subject to sanctions imposed by the U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including any individual on the OFAC SDN List or any individuals residing in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or the Crimea Region of Ukraine or any other country that may be added to OFAC’s embargo list.

How to Enter. You may enter the Sweepstakes during the Promotion Period using the entry method described in the Sweepstakes Announcement, which will be one of the entry methods described below.

  • Comment on and like a social media post (e.g., Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube)
  • Vote (e.g., using the “like” button on a Facebook page, TikTok, Instagram, or X or other similar mechanism);
  • Follow an X account and post or repost a specified post;
  • Follow an Instagram account and comment on a post for that account;
  • Follow a Twitch channel and type a specified word in the chat window; or
  • Follow a Discord server and type a specified word in the chat window, or post or repost a specified post.

If the entry method requires you to post a comment or enter any content in a chat (the “Entrant Material”), you must include the #Sweepstakes at the time of publishing the Entrant Material. Entrant Material must meet the following guidelines: (i) the Entrant Material must be the entrant’s original work and not feature any material owned by any third parties (and must not depict the name of likeness of anyone other than the entrant); (ii) the Entrant Material must not include any material that is deemed by Sponsor to be obscene, profane, pornographic, libelous, or otherwise objectionable; and (iii) the Entrant Material must not feature or contain information about any identifiable persons other than the entrant. Each entrant’s social media account must be public to enter the Sweepstakes.

Unless otherwise noted in the Sweepstakes Announcement, limit one (1) entry per person per Sweepstakes. All entries must be received before the end of the Promotion Period to participate. The Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for each Sweepstakes. Entry must be made only by the entrant using the entry method described in the Sweepstakes Announcement. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. Failure to adhere to the Official Rules may result in disqualification.

It is free to participate in the Sweepstakes, except for any Internet or mobile phone charges that are the entrant’s responsibility.

Winner Selection. Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

Winner Notification. Potential winners will be notified by direct message or a reply comment or tweet on the applicable social media network used to enter the Sweepstakes within approximately five (5) days of the end of each Sweepstakes. Potential winners will have forty-eight (48) hours to respond. If a potential winner does not respond, or if the prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected.

Prizes. The prize(s) offered, including the approximate retail value of each prize, in each Sweepstakes will be described in the Sweepstakes Announcement. Prizes pictured or described in the Sweepstakes Announcement are for illustrative purposes only. All aspects of prizes not otherwise described will be determined by Sponsor in its reasonable discretion. No cash alternative or substitution of prizes will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute prize(s) of comparable or greater value if any prize is unavailable, in whole or in part, for any reason. Odds of winning a prize in each Sweepstakes depend on the number of eligible entries received for that Sweepstakes.

Prize Claim Conditions. Each winner must have or will need to create a free platform (e.g., Steam, Xbox or PlayStation) and/or Amazon account in order to redeem any Amazon Games digital content entitlement provided as a prize. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SPONSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING ANY PRIZE FURNISHED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES. Except as required by law, the prize is personal to you and cannot be transferred for value or redeemed for cash. Amazon is not responsible if any prize is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission. If the prize is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced. Your use of any digital content entitlement provided as a prize is subject to the Amazon Games Terms of Use located at https://www.amazon.com/help/ags/terms, which are incorporated in these Official Rules by this reference. By accepting a prize, you confirm that you understand that Sponsor may include your name and the city and country where you live in any legally required winner’s list. You expressly authorize, free of charge, the Sponsor to use your name, surname, and pseudonym, for a duration of two (2) years from the date you enter the Sweepstakes, worldwide, on the Internet (in particular, on social media), for the purpose of announcing the winner(s) where applicable. If you object to any or all of your name or county being published or made available (other than in response to legally required disclosures, which will be limited to the winner’s first name, first initial of the winner’s last name, and city and country of residence), please contact the Sponsor at ag-community-contests@amazon.com. For Canadian entrants only: A potential winner may be required to provide the correct answer to a mathematical skill-testing question (unaided and within a reasonable time as specified by Sponsor or its designee).

Force Majeure; Modification. If Sponsor is prevented from awarding prizes or continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes.

Disclaimer and Release. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, or Discord. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, Sponsor and Sponsor’s affiliates, the prize provider(s), and Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Discord, will have no liability, and will be held harmless from and against any liability or loss, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, for all matters related to your acceptance, possession, experience with, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.

Winner’s List. To obtain a copy of any legally required winner’s list, send an email to ag-community-contests@amazon.com. Include the name of the social network where the Sweepstakes took place and the date of the Sweepstakes Announcement post in your request. All such requests must be received within six (6) weeks of the end of the applicable Promotion Period.

Data Protection. Your personal data will be collected and processed by Sponsor (acting as data controller) for the purposes of (i) organizing, running, monitoring and publicizing the relevant Sweepstakes, and (ii) for awarding and delivering the prizes based on your acceptance of these Official Rules. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
