Setting Up Your Echo Device Before It Arrives Doesn't Work

If you can't set up your device before it arrives, try these steps.

If you're having trouble setting up your device before it arrives:

  • Make sure that you're logged into the correct Amazon account.
  • Use the Amazon account that ordered the device. If you're trying to set up a device for someone else, select Someone Else under Account Information when completing the setup steps.
  • Your device may not be eligible. Some devices, like kids' devices, can't be set up before they arrive.
  • Your order may not be eligible to be set up before it arrives.
Note: This feature is not currently available on all Echo devices.
