Accessing Amazon Services

Learn how to update your browser to continue shopping securely on Amazon.

Why am I not able to access an Amazon Service?

If you are seeing connection denied error or you are unable to access an Amazon service, it is likely because you are using an outdated browser or device. To help protect customers, Amazon no longer supports connections using Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols, which have reached their end of life.

When attempting to connect with an unsupported browser or device, your connection will be denied.

How to fix this issue

To regain access to Amazon sites and services, you need to update to a browser or device that supports TLS 1.2 or higher. Here's how to fix this issue:

  1. Update your browser

Modern web browsers support the required security protocols. Download and install the latest version of one of the following browsers:

  2. Upgrade your device

If you are using a device (e.g., mobile, Kindle) that doesn't support TLS 1.2+, upgrade your device (either the Operating System on the device or the device itself) to the latest generations which support the required security protocols.
