Manage Music and Podcast Settings for Your Alexa Profile

You can set different default music and podcast services for each Alexa Profile on your Alexa account.

Important: To set default services by Alexa Profile, you'll need to create an Alexa voice ID for each Profile. Family settings will apply to any person without a voice ID.

To edit your Alexa Profile's default music and podcast services:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More , then select Settings.
  3. Select Music & Podcasts, then select your Profile tab.
  4. Select Your Default Services.
  5. Select the services that you want Alexa to play from when Alexa recognizes your voice.
Note: Not all media services allow account linking directly to your Alexa Profile.

To manage settings for another Alexa Profile on your Alexa account, sign out of the Alexa app. Sign in again using the Alexa account you registered your Echo devices to. Select the Alexa Profile that you want to manage.

Some services automatically link your Alexa Profile to the account signed in to the service's mobile app. If you link the wrong service account to your Alexa Profile, select Unlink account from Alexa in the skill settings in the Alexa app.
