Fit Echo Buds (2023 Release) to Your Ear
Find your preferred fit to improve comfort and audio quality.
Echo Buds (2023 release) come with preinstalled, removable, silicone earbud covers for comfort. Your Echo Buds (2023 release) should rest comfortably from your ears.
If you prefer a roomier fit, remove the silicone earbud covers:
- Use your thumb and finger to hold the cover at the tip of the earbud.
- From the back of your earbud, gently slide the cover toward the speaker.
To put the silicone earbud covers on your Echo Buds (2023 release):
- Place the cover onto the earbud so that the cover's holes line up with the earbud's speaker and audio port.
- Use your thumb and finger to gently pull the cover around the earbud until snug.
- When complete, the cover shouldn't block the earbud's speaker or audio port.
Echo Buds are semi-in-ear earbuds designed to keep you connected to your surroundings.
- Echo Buds are designed to gently rest in your ear to deliver a barely there feeling and should not be wedged into the ear canal.
- Semi-in-ear earbuds do not use ear tips and do not seal off the ear canal, allowing the user to hear outside noise whether riding through busy traffic or tranquil nature.
- Echo Buds design allows for unobstructed air flow and cooling ventilation for your ear canal.
Ear Placement Procedure
Gently place the earbuds in your ear so they rest naturally. They should evoke a 'barely there' feeling (for long term comfort). Do not push towards ear canal to block sounds - Echo Buds (2023 Release) are designed to allow external sounds in for awareness.
For natural fit, you may need to rotate your earbuds once placed in your ear. Typically, the bottom tip of your Echo Buds should point in the direction of your mouth.
Ear Fit FAQ
Buds Feel Larger in Ear: Echo Buds (2023 release) come with preinstalled, removable, silicone earbud covers for comfort. For some ears these covers are not needed and can be removed to make the buds slightly smaller.
Buds fit well, but uncomfortable over time: Please make sure to follow the insertion steps above. Your Echo Buds are designed to naturally rest in your ear and not block the ear canal. They should allow outside noises in to keep you aware of your surroundings.
Buds feel like they will fall out, but haven't fallen out: Traditional earbuds use ear tips and other stabilization aids to help wedge the bud in ear. Echo Buds (2023 Release) are designed to rest naturally in ear for comfort. They are not designed to provide the wedged in feeling similar to traditional earbuds. If the loose feeling persists, perform a vigorous head shakes or jumping motion to see if the buds stay secure in ear.
Buds feel small in ear, falls out with activity: Since ear sizes are unique, Echo Buds (2023 Release) may feel loose in some ears. If open style earbuds fall out of your ears, Echo Buds (2023 Release) may exhibit a similar fit as well.
