About Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market Packaging

Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market packaging is designed to keep products at their proper temperatures.

Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market packaging works with our delivery system to keep products at their proper temperatures and maintain the quality of groceries until the end of your delivery window.

With the aid of local temperature information, we dynamically use a variety of packaging to help secure orders and are always looking for ways to improve and update the packaging experience. We account for and carefully control the conditions in which we store and transport your products from the time they are picked to the moment you receive them.

Bulky or heavy items may be delivered without bags and/or additional packaging. Amazon always looks for ways to improve and update the packaging experience.

Our grocery packaging is designed to help keep food at safe temperatures during delivery. We adjust our grocery packaging daily based on the latest weather forecasts. Chilled and frozen packages have different requirements.

Dispose of Packaging

  2. Paper products used for thermal protection, including paper insulation and cardboard strips are curbside recyclable.
  3. Plastic produce bags are curbside-recyclable in some areas. Where not available use designated store drop-off locations where plastic film is accepted. Find your drop off location.
  4. For coolant packs, refer to the packaging for reuse or disposal instructions. In cases where there are no instructions, dispose packaging in the trash.
  5. If you receive frozen water bottles, the water is consumable and the plastic bottles are recyclable.
