Link Your Mobile Number with Alexa

To link compatible Echo devices with a supported mobile phone number, use the Alexa app.

Use the Alexa app to link your Alexa account with supported mobile phone numbers.

  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Select More , then select Settings.
  3. Select Communication .
  4. Select your carrier and follow the on-screen instructions to link your account.
    You can now make and receive calls on your compatible Alexa device with your mobile phone number.

You can change the phone number associated with your Alexa Communications profile. You can update it in the Alexa app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Your Profile & Family.
    1. For verification, an OTP (One-Time Password) is sent to the new phone number. To complete the update, enter the OTP and select Continue.
  5. Enter your new phone and select Continue.

Note: The setup process varies depending on your carrier. It usually takes 5-15 minutes for the number update to be visible in the app. You may need to link your mobile phone number via an Alexa Skill.
