Set Up Alexa Home Theater on Your Fire TV Smart TV
To have audio from your TV and other HDMI sources (like a game console) play through your Echo speakers, set up Alexa Home Theater.
Alexa Home Theater isn't available on all Fire TV Smart TVs. To check if Alexa Home Theater is available on your Fire TV Smart TV:
- Go to Settings
from your Fire TV menu.
- Select Display & Sounds.
- If available, the Alexa Home Theater option appears in the menu.
Before you get started:
- Turn on Wi-Fi on your Fire TV even if your device connects to the network with an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi is required for this feature to work.
- Make sure that your devices are in sync by enabling Alexa Anytime on your Fire TV. Enabling this setting may increase your TV's power consumption.
- Devices in your speaker group should be in the same room as your TV and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
