Connect Your Amazon Tap to Wi-Fi

To stream audio and talk to Alexa, connect your Amazon Tap to Wi-Fi.

Note: Amazon Tap connects to 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi networks and mobile hotspots that use the 802.11b / g / n standard. Amazon Tap does not connect to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) networks.
  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select Devices .
  3. Select your Amazon Tap.
  4. Select Change next to Wi-Fi Network.
  5. Press and hold the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth button on your Amazon Tap. Wait until the indicator turns orange and your Wi-Fi network appears in the app (about 25 seconds).
  6. Select Connect. If your network does not appear, select Add a Network or Rescan.
