Delivery preferences

Take control of your deliveries with delivery preferences.

As an Amazon Business customer, you can customize your delivery experience by using the Delivery preferences feature. Delivery preferences allow you to specify opening times for your business, instructions for delivery, and more.

Your delivery preferences apply to Fulfilled by Amazon items. Some settings apply only to items delivered by Amazon Logistics.

Account administrator

In Addresses and delivery preferences, administrators can set delivery instructions for a specific address, called address preferences.

They can also specify instructions for each location (for example, a building or campus), called location preferences.

  • The associated location is a link to your Location Delivery Preference page.
  • If you add different instructions, the address preferences are prioritized over the location preferences.
  • If you haven’t applied an address delivery preference, we will apply the location preferences.

Group administrator

Group administrators can set specific delivery preferences for the shared addresses of the groups they manage.

Set delivery preferences for a shared address within your managed groups:

Modify a single address:

  1. Go to Business Settings, and select Addresses and delivery preferences.
  2. Identify the address for which you want to set the delivery preferences.
  3. Select the delivery instruction from the Edit Address section.

Modify multiple addresses:

  1. Go to Business Settings and select Addresses and delivery preferences.
  2. Identify and select (with the checkbox) the address/addresses for which you want to set the delivery preferences.
  3. Select Actions, in the upper right menu, and select Edit delivery preferences for selected.

Group administrators can also add specific delivery preferences for each location (for example, a building or campus), called location preferences.

  • If you update the preferences for a location, it will update for all groups within your organization that ship to that location.
  • If you add different instructions, the address preferences are prioritized over the location preferences.
  • If you haven’t applied an address delivery preference, we will use the applied location preferences.

Requisitioner

Requisitioners can set specific delivery preferences for their individual addresses.

The delivery preferences feature offers the following settings:

  • Delivery times: Delivery Hours
  • Delivery Instructions: Drop-off location Access information and Additional information
  • Observed holidays
    • Customers can also access Custom Holidays as a new delivery preference. The option allows customers to select specific calendar days when their locations close and receive their deliveries when they reopen.

Set delivery preferences for an existing individual address:

  1. Go to Your Account.
  2. Select Your Addresses.
  3. Select Edit delivery preferences.

To add delivery preferences while adding a new address:

  1. Go to Your Account and then Your Addresses.
  2. Select Add Address.
  3. Enter the required information under Add a new address.
  4. Under Add delivery preferences, select Edit to make your choice for each delivery preference.
  5. Select Add address to add a new address with your chosen delivery preferences.
