Transfer Photos and Videos to Amazon Photos
Transfer photos and videos from another service (iCloud, Google Photos, an external drive, or a folder on your computer) into Amazon Photos.

- On google.com/takeout, request a Google Photos export and download the archive to your computer.
- Unzip the archive.
- Install the Amazon Photos desktop app (Windows or macOS) and sign in.
- From the Backup tab, select Add backup folder, then select the unzipped folder.
- Confirm to start the upload.
Manual transfer from a computer or external drive
- Install the Amazon Photos desktop app on Windows or macOS.
- Sign in to your Amazon account.
- From the Backup tab, select Add backup folder and choose the folder (or external drive) containing the files.
- Set recurrence and file-type preferences, then select Save.
Note: Transfers run in the background and resume after pauses. Make sure your files meet the requirements (check
File Requirements for Amazon Photos).
