Manage Group Gifting and Diaper Fund Contributions

With Group Gifting, anyone can contribute to help you purchase higher-value items from your registry. Each Group Gifting contribution is received as an Amazon Electronic Gift Card.

You can activate and deactivate Group Gifting settings for any item in your Baby Registry, or change the default dollar amount for items selected for Group Gifting.

To set Group Gifting for items in your registry:

  1. Go to your Baby Registry.
  2. Select Registry Settings in the menu options.
  3. Check the Allow Group Gifting box.
  4. Enter the dollar value for group gifting enabled items.

To set Group Gifting for an individual item:

  1. Go to your Baby Registry.
  2. Locate the item you want to change and select Edit.
  3. To activate, check the Enable group gifting for this item box.
  4. Save your changes.

To redeem Group Gift contributions:

  1. Select the item to view contributions.
  2. Select Redeem to add the individual contribution to your Amazon.com Gift Card balance.
  3. You can also access this information in your Baby Registry by selecting Thank You & Returns.

To set a Diaper Fund for your Registry:

  1. Go to your Baby Registry.
  2. Select Registry Settings.
  3. Check the box to enable Diaper Fund.

To redeem Diaper Fund contributions:

  1. Go to your Baby Registry.
  2. Select Redeem to view Diaper Fund contributions to your Amazon.com Gift Card balance.
  3. Select Redeem to add individual contributions to your Amazon.com Gift Card balance.
  4. You can also access this information in your Baby Registry by selecting Thank You & Returns.

View and Redeem Group Gifting and Diaper Fund Contributions

You can view all Group Gifting contributions in your Baby Registry by selecting Edit on the items in your registry, or by accessing your Thank You List. Each item enabled for Group Gifting has a dollar amount for contributions received so far and shows how much remains until the item is fully funded. You can also access this information in your Baby Registry by selecting Thank You & Returns.

Only the primary registry owner can redeem contributions. To redeem Group Gifting contributions:

  1. Select the item.
  2. Select Redeem Contribution to apply to your balance. If you don't redeem the contributions, you can't purchase the item.
  3. To purchase the item, select Add to Cart and then Proceed to Checkout. The item isn't purchased until you check out.

Prices are subject to change and are confirmed when you place an order. If the price of an item is less than the amount contributed, the remaining amount remains in the Amazon.com balance of the registry owner. If the total price of an item, including taxes and applicable fees, is more than the amount contributed for the item, the registry owner must pay the difference with another payment method.

Note:
  • The Diaper Fund is set at $550. This is based on the average cost of $0.20 per diaper, and an estimated 2,700 diapers during a child's first year, according to What to Expect 2018 data.
  • Registry owners receive an email notification when they receive a contribution. Details of each contribution are available in the Thank You List.
  • Each group gift and Diaper Fund contribution is delivered to registry owners as Amazon.com Gift Cards, sold and delivered by ACI Gift Cards, Inc., an Amazon company. Gift cards can't be returned, transferred to another Amazon account, or refunded after purchase (except as required by law.)
  • The full amount of Group Gifting contributions for a given item doesn't include shipping costs or taxes.
